Blow bubbles, twirl sparklers and shake glow sticks, if you can't at New Years, when can you?
Wear insanely huge & tacky 2009 glasses.
Wear glitter eyeshadow, even if you never wear eyeshadow & even if you're not out on the town!
Buy yourself a box of chocolates. Go on!
Going out? Scrawl 'SMILE' on your arm in marker.
Write a list of your achievements from 2008 over a long cuppa at your favourite cafe. Put it in the second last page of your 2009 journal, this time next year you'll have something to smile about & remind you to do the same again. Be proud of what you've done, no matter how big or small.
Join the girly masses & rock a sparkly tiara.
Glue diamantes to your hip flask. Don't drink? Do it anyhow & fill it up with red cordial <3
Mix it up, order something different from the bar - or if you're at home, make yourself a stupidly fancy cocktail (or mocktail) rather than just swigging a beer.
I'm only going to a house party, and I have to walk there in the freezing cold so can't wear fancy shoes or anything, but I fully intend to be fabulously glittered-up tonight!
