Why not?
Originally uploaded by trasguete
Mixing up your everyday can make the difference between your week being a dull stint of time with indignant routine or a fun stretch of days between weekends that inspire and excite you. Given the choice, we would all be offering ourselves up for a dose of the latter, right? A spattering of glee, a dash of joy, a great ‘ol sprinkling of fabulous - bring on the everyday! Gain some perspective & look at the big picture - remember you've got only got once chance to have an awesome day today - tomorrow's a new one but why not take Vodafones advice & make the most of now?

  • Write in pink pen
  • Paint your nails
  • Pop some cute stickers on your PC monitor
  • Wear a bow (tie!)
  • Tell someone how amazing they look - a stranger, your best mate, your boss - we often think someone looks fantastic but quite often fail to voice our praise & compliments can make your day - so, go on, share the love.
  • Pass the commute by using a permanent marker to doodle on your takeout coffee cup
  • Say please, thank you and have a nice day... & mean it
  • Spritz your favourite perfume in your hair
  • Write your mum a handwritten letter
  • Channel your childhood & replace your ordinary hairspray with some glitter spray
  • Bake some choc chip biscuits & take them into work to share
  • Try a new handcream
  • Have a play with your Windows theme and coordinate the appearance with your wall paper
  • Tie ribbons in your hair
  • Paint your toe nails even if no one apart from your ever gets a peek at your feet!
  • Try a syrup shot in your plain old latte
  • Not use calories as a deciphering factor in selecting what to have for lunch today. Calories = energy, energy = positive - let this be your mantra: enjoy everything in moderation!

Katie, you are still such a kiwi at heart... I must also end a blog entry one day with "Sweet as?"
Love the idea... think it's important to make each and every day sparkle in it's own unique way.
My contribution to this week's WNW is to have a race with friends to see who can dissolve a berocca tablet the quickest on their tongue without water. The looks on everyone's faces while their tongue fizzes as well as the orange coloured tongues you have to poke out to show you are finished make this a hysterical game (we used to play it at high school).... and you get vitamins too! Happy and healthy!

    Brilliant!
'Why not' is one of my favourite phrases, usually used when I'm doing something really ridiculous :)

why not bring flowers to the work place where you can enjoy them all week?

add fresh strawberries to your cereal...

and even, why not daydream and doodle like you're back in high school againz.

Love the idea of the pink pen. Where did you get that idea from - I actually do use a pink pen and I love it. Others then want to join in and add colour too.

Corrine: Why yes, you have, my love! & you are absolutely fabulous for it.

Mermaid: Oh & I love you loving it! Top tips, I love strawberries... so delicious - so healthy - whats not to love?!

Scribbles: Didn't even notice I did that until you pointed it out! Haha, your berocca tip reminds me of the first time my partner tried berocca after a big night - he actually didn't realise it was meant to be dissolved in water so played your game by accident - oops!

Loulou: Well praise for that! Nothing wrong with a bit of ridiculous here & there :)

Shortie: Stole the idea from work - everything is pink here, including my pen!

Ahh, I love this! I am the biggest fan of galadarling.com and her 'Things I Love Thursday' - just the awareness and appreciation of small things that go on in life that make you happy and make life a little bit easier to live.

I am so in awe of your blog - just found it accidentally through someone posting a link to it -- you are wonderful, I have just spent a good hour or so browsing through all your fantastic postings and will definitely be back to read more. I love the idea of Why Not Wednesday!!

Thanks for brightening up my day that has just been consumed with study (or lack thereof..) - exams soon, eek!

    xx Michaela
