Oh my god, Shoes
Originally uploaded by Francesca Anderson
As certain as death & taxes, the fact stands that us ladies love our shoes: boots, pumps, flats, wedges; we'll take them all and in every colour because we love shoes in all their variations of style, colour & comfort, for no good reason & despite their occasional disabling of our free movement across cobbled footpaths, regardless of the fact that the ones we covet are sky high and we know that sky high is a long way to tumble from. We love the boots that require three to four blister inducing wears causing us to walk in a not entirely attractive manner, because we know the pain is worthwhile for the utter glee we will have for the rest of that boots lifetime. We've all been there & lived through moment of embarrassment, anguish (& perhaps a little pain!) thanks to the pretty little things we have chosen to adorn our feet.

Until now, our stories of shoe related humiliation have existed as nothing more than a hilarious tale for our friends to recount, but now is the time to drag out your embarrassing shoe story & put it to good use. The team over at ShoeHunting have teamed up with Bare Foottess and are offering one lucky reader a pair of shoes of their choice from www.barefoottess.com.

The competition is open to all US & Canadian residents (sorry everyone else - your turn next time!) and closes on May 31st so head over to ShoeHunting now to share your story & get in the draw.

However, don't despair if your story is not the winning entry, Bare Foottess have kindly offered a 15% discount off purchases, simply enter the coupon code SHOEH at checkout!

One more hot tip for you shoe adoring ladies of the US: another great online shoe retailer for women's shoes is Jildor. Their online store offers all the top designer brands including fabulous heels from Marc by Marc Jacobs to Juicy Couture flats, all in the one location with search tools so that you can find shoes by designer, style of shoes & size to make sure you see only what suits you. For those of you that love staying on top of the latest & greatest there is a super convenient 'Just Arrived' page. Best of all, no crazy huge shipping prices smacked onto your order at checkout, Jildor offer a flat rate of $5 for shipping.

Good luck & happy shoe shopping! Share your favourite online shoe store in the comments!
