Enjoy (proper) Timeout: Sit for an hour with a cup of coffee & a good book or newspaper. Use your lunch time or get up a little earlier & do it everyday.

Have breakfast: If you know you can't commit to getting up any earlier to make time for a sit down breakfast, pack yourself something to eat on the commute or at your desk once you arrive at the office.

Exercise: Speed walk to the tube station, hula hoop in the park at lunch, do sit ups & press ups while watching the tellie after work.

Wear colour: Take a quick peak into your work wardrobe, does it stand in stark contrast to the fabulous bits & pieces you adorn yourself with come Saturday...? Wearing basic combinations of 'safe' non-offensive monochromatic palette get ups to the office is an easy trap to fall into, so give yourself a week day style overhaul. Work in some sparkly accessories, shiny patent shoes or a few loud shirts & skirts to wear with the whites, blacks & greys.

Laundry: Hands up all those who leave laundry until Saturday! You may be buggered when you get in from the office but think about how relieved you'll be come the weekend when you've bought yourself an extra few hours by doing this menial task on a week night.

Walk the dog: So you're lucky enough to have a cute wee pet... give yourself a workout & enjoy some quality time with your pooch when you get in from work of an evening. Make the most of the last hour or so of sunshine & go for a walk in the park, play frisbee or use it as an excuse to strike up conversation with the other pet owners in your local green space.

Catch up with friends: Break up your week with an after work or lunch time catch up with some of your favourite people.

What stuff do you want to haul out of your weekends and into your every day?

I highly recommend the catch up with friends. Ever since I worked up a regular lunch date with a friend, we've become much closer and I know that as soon as we get to the point of lunch, my uni day is almost over!

LAUNDRY!? *gasp!
Haha just kidding.. I have a confession to make. I still live at home so my parents still do my laundry. =0 But then I don't mind that at all.

I wear my latest accessory - a beautiful blue silk scarf to make a bright and wonderful change to my day. It works wonders. Always remember the catch up with friends advice - it is so important.
