The girls behind these blogs offer us a real life case study on wearable fashion at high street prices. While it is all good & well to lust after the pieces from the pages of the latest Vogue, most of us, on our modest salaries, will only ever dream of acquiring pieces with a three or four figure price tag. A weeks wages on a pair of shoes, this is not an investment, however you look at it, it is living beyond your means. On the other hand, picking up a few vintage floral summer dresses at your local charity store after having been inspired by a fellow bloggers vintage whim is an attainable and exciting way to evolve your personal style while keeping within the realms of reasonable spending. In the same vein, nipping into Top Shop to pick up a pair of brogues, after having noticed your favourite cute efashionista credit the store for her fabulous designer-inspired-high-street-bought shoes, is similarly achievable & another example of how online style hubs are shaping our personal style evolution & influencing how and where we spend.

With this in mind, next time you catch yourself actually considering, if only for a moment, just how many weeks pay that pair of high waisted designer trousers will set you back, slap yourself, put down the glossy mag and log onto your google reader instead.
