Daydream

Productive Visualization
Day dreaming has a stigma of being a time wasting activity, which it very much can be. However, allowing your mind to be active with dreams of reaching your own personal potential can be a productive and positive way to attaining your greatest life goals. If you dream wisely, you can build a mental picture of where you want to be and the steps in which to get there. While dreaming for eight hours of your working day may not be the best use of your time, if you do find yourself slipping off into the realm of the inner workings of your mind, chances are you are in the wrong place anyhow - why not dream yourself elsewhere? Focus your day dreams on creating a mental image of where you want to be and the steps in which to get there. Nothing comes from nothing, everything can come from a well versed dream. Create it in your minds eye and allow it to manifest as action in your life.

Dream Big & Make It Happen
It's no good sitting there dreaming about being a rock star if you can't play the guitar. No amount of dreaming will bring that skill into actualisation! Dream big but keep it real - really want to be a rock star? Learn to play the guitar, practise every single day. Teach yourself to read music. Become a well versed admirer of those who’ve gone before you - discover mentors. Live & breathe your dreams by making sure you take the steps to make those awesome thoughts that are going on in your head become awesome things going on in your life. Dreaming is your first building block, the next is getting real with practical solutions by which to achieve the dream. You can do it, you know you want it, so go get it - no one can realise your goals except for you.

If You Love It, Do It For The Passion
We all need to start somewhere and the bottom is a good place. Do not make the mistake of expecting things to fall into your lap or expecting to waltz into the exact position or role you see yourself in. Expect to work hard. Expect to struggle. Expect to succeed. Give respect & earn it in return.

Don't wait for the right job opportunity to come along, create it for yourself. Show your conviction in your own skills by doing whatever it is you so dream for the love & passion, not the financial reward. Money is a big motivator for so many with consumerism rife in our society. When it comes to living the dream, money shouldn't be the prime motivator. Paying your rent is important, no doubt, but be realistic - keep a day job to pay your way and spend every other waking minute working towards making your dream your main stream of income, but do not expect it to be so from the get go. Knit everyday on your commute & set up an Etsy store to sell your work, sing in a local pub band on a Saturday night & record your own CD demo to sell for a fiver after your gigs, gain valuable experience watching & learning by taking a job as a kitchen hand in a top restaurant. There are many routes to achieving whatever it is you desire, find the one that works for you & your lifestyle.

Focusing on the Big Picture
Mini goals will lead the way to realising you ultimate ambition, whatever it may be. Small steps lead to big results. Always keep your eye on the prize, focus on the individual steps that go into taking you to where you want to be but remind yourself not to get caught up in any drama that may eventuate along the way. Be focused and decisive. During times of uncertainty or when you find yourself doubting the worth of the seemingly menial tasks you have had to take up to get to where you are headed - remind yourself of why you are doing what you are doing. Realisation of our dreams can be hard work but we should try to enjoy the unexpected nuances and detours along the way, many a man (and women) has said that life is about the journey, why not let it be? Remember during times of struggle to smile - you are doing the greatest thing you could ever accomplish - you are making real your dreams.

Leave Yourself Rockstar Reminders
I am capable & worthy - Anything worth doing is worth doing properly - I can. I will - I am worth my dream. - Dream big - Live the dream - Work hard, play hard ...

You know the drill, whatever pieces of positivity resonate best with you, make use of them - google some affirmations or create your own. Plaster them all over your fridge, scribble them on your arm, journal them, pin them in your work cubicle, make some wall art for your apartment, do a needlepoint or make a nameplate style necklace or alphabeaded bracelet using the phrases - do what works for you to remind you that you are so going to get there & you will do it in awesome style!
